States of Incarceration Launch Events

As the launch of States of Incarceration approaches, the Humanities Action Lab has announced a list of exciting events to kick off it’s first initiative. The first of these events will be a keynote address before the exhibition opening reception on Thursday, April 14th. After that, on Friday and Saturday (April 15th – 16th), a national public forum will be held where students, stakeholders, scholars, and policy experts who contributed to the project will meet and engage in a national dialogue on incarceration. Also, the website for States of Incarceration will be live by this time. Aside from providing the public with a more in-depth look at the research compiled by the 20 contributing universities, the site will also add an interactive aspect to the travelling exhibition, prompting attendees throughout the country to share their thoughts and opinions regarding the ideas presented. Please see a detailed schedule of the events below:
